Ellen Pompeo’s Fiance Chris Ivery elegidly sold someone drugs at one point or another.

It is said that Chris Ivery had done a couple bids for drugs, credit card theft and fraud. It was reported back in 2005 that Chris Ivery had spent 14 months in a federal prison in the mid-1990s after pleading guilty to postal theft and credit card fraud. In December of 2006 an interview with Ellen Pompeo on “Allure magazine said “Yeah, he used a credit card that wasn’t his when he was 18. Show me a teenager from Boston who doesn’t have a record!”
But he wasn’t 18 Chris was 24! And that wasn’t all, Court records show Ivery has at least 13 criminal convictions in Massachusetts, including dealing cocaine and pot. He had three lengthy jail sentences.

Ellen says that Chris had already told her about everything and it didn’t matter to her. Lets just hope that Chris has learned his lesson and has moved on from all this. Ellen deserves a good guy, not the guy Chris used to be.

Ellen Pompeo and her boyfriend, record producer Chris Ivery, are ENGAGED!

Publicist Jennifer Allen told the Associated Press that Ivery (38) proposed to Ellen on her 37th birthday, after breakfast at home. They have been dating for nearly three years now. She is now carrying around a 3.5 carat emerald-cut diamond and platinum ring by Tacori. They met in an L.A grocery store. Ellen at first was said to not be interested in a date but after bumping into him again six months later she decided to go on that date. :-) They found out they lived only 10 miles away from each other outside of Boston when they were growing up. Small world isn’t it!?

“I had to go 3,000 miles away to meet a guy who practically grew up next door,” Pompeo told the Boston Herald last year. “But I guess everything comes full circle.”

They still have not set a date or location for the big day, I will keep this up-dated with news on the wedding. You can see a picture of Ellen and her ring On this Link HERE! and you can also read more about Ellen Pompeo Biography here.

Congrats Ellen! :-)

HD – Streaming Soon to a Monitor Near You!

HD Streaming Has Arrived!

It’s been a while since the last post, but for good reason! Since we added Vista support, the team has been hard at work on enhancements to the player to improve things like compatibility (across all supported platforms), playback stability, video quality, etc.

But the improvement we’re most excited about is the addition of the new HD channel! It’s currently a beta release and there are some minimum computer requirements you’ll need to satisfy to get the best experience (those requirements are listed in the player). But, if you do, the quality is really superb and hopefully it’s a big enough sampling of your favorite shows to keep you excited as we wait for the new Fall season (there are some really cool new shows on the way).

As always, please submit Feedback and let us know how we’re doing. We’re definitely listening.

Ready to watch Ugly Betty in high-def? Yeah, neither am I. But if your computer screen can handle HD video (a minimum 1024 x 768 resolution is recommended), you don’t need to buy an HD TV. ABC.com is experimenting with streaming shows over the Web in HD. You will need to download a new player from Move Networks (that won’t let you fast-forward through the ads, sorry) and a broadband connection. (Move just hired the former CTO of the Disney Internet Group, Douglas Parrish, as a senior VP).

This is a beta, though. When I tried to install the player, nothing happened. But it shows that media companies are thinking about bringing HD to your PC as well as your TV. They just need to get it to actually work (caveat: the problem could very well be on my end).

Isaiah Washington Now Blames Patrick Dempsey

Filed under: Every Day Thoughts,Grey's Anatomy,Kristin Nicole's Thoughts,TV Shows, Movies — Wrote by Kristin on Thursday, July 26th, 2007 @ 10:07 am

Isaiah Washington is upset he got fired and is blaming Patrick Dempsey for the blow-up that started the whole homophobic slur. Back on July 2nd on Larry King Live, he admitted to loosing his cool when he confronted Patrick for being late on the set. Apparently Isaiah was ready to start shooting the scene, but Patrick wanted to wait for Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey) before the scene began. Washington told Larry King “I said I don’t need Ellen, I can act.” That was then the moment that started the argument between the two cast mates. Isaiah is saying that Patrick is the one that got angry saying “He became unhinged, sprayed spittle in his face, asking him why he was screaming and he just became upset. Isaiah did admit he said a lot of things he wasn’t proud of, recalling that he said to Patrick, “There’s no way you’re going to treat me like the B-word, the P-word or the F-word.” He said using the “F-word” was never meant as a gay slur, but implied “somebody who is being weak,” and he insisted that he never meant to direct it towards T.R. Knights. He said he is not a homophobic in any way. He said T.R had nothing to do with the argument he brought himself into it to grab the limelight! He states “He misrepresented himself,” but admits he regrets repeating the slur at the Golden Globes. Isaiah did get emotional when Larry King asked him if he had any support from cast members. After pausing for a while, his eyes filled up with tears and he said Sandra Oh had sent him an email, but that was it.

I honestly loved Isaiah Washington’s Character (Preston Burk) and I didn’t want to see him go. But every time I see him on talk shows or see articles written about how he is blaming others just infuriates me. Just own up to your own mistakes and stop trying to blame everyone else for your actions. He obviously started the argument with Patrick Dempsey when he came in yelling at him for being late. Any normal person would react with yelling in return. And just because Patrick wanted to wait for Ellen doesn’t mean he can’t act. It’s all Washington’s interpretation. And when he used the F-WORD with T.R Knights name, he involved him, even if the argument wasn’t with him directly. If someone is arguing and it’s not with me, but they mention that I’m a bitch then it automatically involves me. I do not agree with him stating that T.R just wanted the limelight, if he wanted the limelight he could have come out that he was Gay by him self and that alone would have caused a limelight in his honor! Do I feel sorry for Washington? Yes, because he can’t see that he just lost not only a great Character on a Great Show but he’s lost fans that loved him and thought he was the same great guy he portrayed on Grey’s Anatomy. Now he’s crying about the fact he got fired and saying it isn’t his fault. Hello, you mentioned the F-word once then you repeated it again at the Golden Globes. He did admit he regrets repeating it at the Golden Globes, which in my opinion is a miracle. He didn’t blame someone else for that one, because he couldn’t! We caught him on Television! Instead of blaming others for his actions he should have owned up to it and maybe he would have still been on the show. It is sad what he said, but we all do make mistakes, but by him blaming others and going around not owning up to his mistake just makes it look like ABC might have made a good decision with letting Washington go. Do I like the fact Preston Burk is off the show? No! I loved his character with Sandra Oh (Christina), what will they do with her character now? I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens on Season 4!

Grey’s Anatomy., ABC gets upset with NBC for hiring Isaiah Washington

Filed under: Every Day Thoughts,Grey's Anatomy,Kristin Nicole's Thoughts,TV Shows, Movies — Wrote by Kristin on Thursday, July 26th, 2007 @ 10:02 am

Unfortunately they just won’t leave Isaiah Washington alone, will they? Isaiah Washington was let go from the hit show Grey’s Anatomy and now has sparked a few words between the heads of ABC & NBC. Last week, new NBC president Ben Silverman spoke to Isaiah about hiring him for a six-episode arc on NBC’s new show BIONIC WOMAN
Silverman was shocked to hear that ABC fired Isaiah Washington, stating that he had started talking with the actor “before he became available.”

Ben Silverman continued to say that Isaiah Washington told him he was available & he shot back with “YOU ARE?” He didn’t understand what he meant. He said you are a huge star on a star television show. “I don’t quite understand what had gone on there.”

This drew the fury of ABC president Steve McPherson, who said if Silverman was talking to Isaiah Washington before he was available, that’s inducement to breach. “So I don’t know, he’s either clueless or stupid.” Regarding Washington being fired, McPherson added, “Was he living in a cave?”

It is apparent to me that Silverman was trying to get Washington to star in a six-episode arc for NBC. He wanted to let Isaiah Washington know that they are behind him all the way. What I don’t understand is, if ABC let him go, why is McPherson so upset? You didn’t want him, so let him move on to other things. Even though Isaiah Washington’s contract is for a six episode turn doesn’t mean they can’t extend it later. So lets see what happens with Isaiah Washington? Are you his fan?? Watch him on the new NBC show BIONIC WOMAN. Check out NBC’s website for Bionic Woman

She will be playing an intern and of course you know she is going to cause trouble for Meredith and Derek! For us Meredith and Derek fans you have to admit things haven’t been going well. But we still have hope for these two don’t we?!?!
The Grey’s Anatomy cast began filming the shows fourth season on Wednesday after a two-month hiatus.

Grey’s Anatomy’s Star Kate Walsh Is Engaged!

Filed under: Every Day Thoughts,Grey's Anatomy,Kristin Nicole's Thoughts,TV Shows, Movies — Wrote by Kristin on Wednesday, July 11th, 2007 @ 11:19 am

Reported back in May 2007:

Grey’s Anatomy star Kate Walsh now has another reason to celebrate: In addition to getting her own spin off, she’s also getting married.

“I’m engaged,” the actress, 39, told PEOPLE on Tuesday at the Entertainment Weekly upfront party at The Box in New York City.

“Alex Young, a production co-president at 20th Century Fox asked me to marry him and I said yes. We were in San Francisco last week and I’m very, very, very happy.”

They asked her what makes her fiancé so special? She replied: “Oh, everything,” gushed Walsh, flashing her Neil Lane Jubilee-cut diamond. “He’s the most amazing man I ever met. We’re in the process of planning the wedding.”

Meanwhile, ABC formally announced that Walsh will star in her own Grey’s Anatomy spin off, playing Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd in Private Practice. The show will air Wednesdays this fall and costar Taye Diggs and Tim Daly. (I can’t wait to see how the new show comes out).

It is said the the new series will start shooting in July. Kate is super exited. She said, “Grey’s is about interns starting their careers and starting their professional lives, and Private Practice is going to deal with people who are successful in their private lives.”

Kate’s character needed a change to improve her personal life. Think about it, Addison did all she can do in Seattle Grace, she tried to work things out with her husband Dr. McDreamy and that didn’t work, then she tried to have a relationship with Dr. McSteamy and that didn’t work either and when she tried to get together with Alex that failed as well, what else is left for her there but to move on?

Her new cast mates are thrilled about Walsh’s engagement. Merrin Dungey, who plays Addison’s best friend, was one of the first to notice Kate’s new diamond, she told PEOPLE at the EW party: “I was blinded. I saw when she walked into the room and I said, ‘Jesus.’ It’s very exciting.”

We are all happy for Kate. Can’t wait to see how she looks in that wedding dress. And I can’t wait until we see her in her new sitcom, PRIVATE PRACTICE.
