Chyler Leigh Potts
is going to be playing Lexie Grey on Grey’s Anatomy this season. She was born April 10, 1982 in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. She is 5′ 6″ tall. She was raised in Virgina Beach and Miami Beach. Her brother is Christopher Khayman Lee. She began her career in front of the camera at age 12 modeling for magazines and catalog’s. Her success later went onto national commercials for Coca Cola and Wendy’s, among others.

At 16 she had already completed serveral pilots on ABC’s “Wilder Days” (2000) and WB’s “Saving Graces” (1999). Aaron Spelling confirmed the young actress’s talent when he hired her a few years ago as a series regular in the WB series “Safe Harbor” (1999) after seeing her performance on “Saving Graces”. She also guest-starred on “7th Heaven (1996) in a powerful three-story arc wherein her character, “Frankie”, a young, inept mother had adversely influenced the family.

Leigh made her film debut in the Colombia/Tri-Star hit comedy spoof Not Another Teen Movie (2001), which opened nationwide December, 2001. She originally auditioned for a smaller role, but the producers and directors were so impressed with her performance that they invited her to read for the lead. Leigh was stunned by her good fortune.

Leigh was married on July 20th 2002 to her now husband Nathan West. Has a son, Noah Wilde, born in December 2003 and a daughter Taelyn born in September 2006.

By January of 2002, Leigh had already landed a series role on the Fox comedy “That ’80s Show” (2002) (from the producers of “That ’70s Show”). The mid season comedy series portrayed Leigh as a rebellious teenager on the Fox Network. After the short-lived run, the series was canceled, and Leigh was immediately brought to executive producer David E. Kelley for consideration in his new Fox series “Girls Club” (2002). Three days later, Leigh was flown for the New York up-fronts where she was introduced as one of the new series leads, “Sarah Mickle”, a young attorney, on Fox’s 2002 “Girls Club” (2002).

After only two episodes of “Girls Club” (2002) had aired, Leigh received a personal phone call from Kelley informing her of the shows cancellation and his desire to bring her forward to his already established series “The Practice” (1997). With only a matter of weeks between shows, Leigh was at work on the set of ABC’s “The Practice” (1997) as “Claire Wyatt”, a new Series Regular for the 2002-2003 season. In 2004, Leigh was reunited with Fox for their new half hour comedy pilot “Lucky Us”. Chyler landed the starring role of the free-wheeling conservative young architect, “Lucy Reed”. Weeks later, Leigh made a guest starring appearance as “Kate Spangler”, a feisty young ad exec, in Fox’s new drama series “North Shore” (2004)”.

Later in the season, Leigh took a brief break from Fox to shoot a series lead role opposite Billy Campbell in the WB’s drama pilot “Rocky Point” (2005). The series was centered on a young woman (Leigh) living on Hawaii’s North Shore who takes in her estranged father (Campbell).

Most recently, Leigh has been tapped as a series regular on Fox’s 2005 one hour pilot “Reunion” (2005). Leigh will star as “Carla”, the quirky good girl who we see transform throughout the emotional, dramatic series which follows her and her five closest friends from their high school graduation in 1986 to their 20th reunion. “Reunion” (2005) from Warner Bros. TV and Class IV Productions was written/created by Jon Harmon Feldman and will be directed by Jon Amiel. The pilot’s executive producers include Stephen Pearlman, Andrew Plotkin and Jon Harmon Feldman.

I was looking for information on one of the Characters on Grey’s Anatomy when I bumped into this website for Ellen Pompeo (Meredith) & Patrick Dempsey (Derek).

Click HERE. to see the website.

I love Meredith and Derek together but it looks like last season they were about to break up for good. Meredith just doesn’t know how to open up to Derek and all he wants is to be there for her. I just want to go into the TV and say snap out of it Meredith, you are about to loose the love of your life if you don’t wake up and open up! But of course I can’t, and this is just a TV show. They have to give us the ups and downs of Meredith and Derek if not there wouldn’t be any drama!

So what’s to come for this season? I heard Meredith’s Sister Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) will be causing some trouble for Meredith and Derek, but don’t worry they aren’t hooking these two up… Yet… it’s said she will be hooking up with Alex Karev (Justin Chambers). I can’t wait for this season to start. :-)

A hard days night. (1st episode Season 1)

Filed under: Every Day Thoughts,Grey's Anatomy,Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Tuesday, August 21st, 2007 @ 2:33 pm

Meredith opens up saying:

The game they say the person either has what it takes or they don’t.

Meredith wakes up with a one night stand. She says he has to go because she can’t be late on her first day of work. She goes to say goodbye but forgets his name. He turns to her and says DEREK. She says Yeah Derek. We don’t need to do this, I’m going to go take a shower and you can let yourself out. He just smiles as she goes upstairs.

All the Interns are being introduced to the Hospital (Seattle Grace) and Meredith walks in late.

Meredith meets Cristina and George. George is all over her, noticing what she was wearing the first time they met. She then meets Izzie. They all have the natzi (Dr. Bailey).

HOUR 1:

The first emergency comes in. A 15 year old girl who is having convulsions. Every Intern gets a case, and Meredith gets the 15 year old girl. They stabilize her and Meredith needs to take her for test. Meredith is lost and the girl just keeps talking on how she is lost and she starts to drive Meredith crazy.

Izzie gets stuck doing erectile exams and she isn’t having fun.

George gets a patient with a heart condition and needs to take Blood out, but can’t seem to find the vein, Dr. Preston Burk comes in and takes over. He later chooses George to do the first surgery.

Meredith is told to talk to Dr. Shepard and sees he’s Derek. She calls him Dr. Shepard and asks what happened to Derek? He tells her she took advantage of him, he was drunk and good looking and she took advantage. She says she was drunk too and she didn’t take advantage. He wants to see her again, but she refuses and says that is not professional and storms out of the room. Derek stays with a smile on his face.

George begins his first surgery while all the interns watch. They bet he won’t make it and Meredith sticks up for him saying they should want there fellow interns to pass she bets he will make it. George starts off good but then freezes and when the heart monitor starts going down Dr. Burk pushes him out of the way calling him a Pansy.

Meredith gets a beep for Katie (15 year old) 911 page. She goes rushing to her room only to find her wondering when she’ll get out of there cus she had a pageant to attend. Meredith tells her that it is not funny to have her paged when nothing is wrong with her. She walks out of the room upset.

Izzie needs to put some meds in her patient but she is afraid to wake up Dr. Bailey. She doesn’t know how to do it, so she has to wake her up. Dr. Bailey gets upset and goes to help her. She says next time the patient better be close to death or with a tag on his toe.

Alex is another intern in the group. He introduces himself to Meredith acting cocky and knowing it all. He calls Meredith a nurse and she takes offense to his Macho attitude. George walks up and starts talking saying he knows Meredith but Alex brushes him off and tells him to get lost.

Meredith gets beeped again but she takes her time and when she walks in Katie is having another convulsion. Katie’s heart beat stops and Meredith works to bring her back. She finally brings her back when Derek walks in and asks why he wasn’t beeped sooner. He yells at her to get out and then Dr. Bailey yells at her as well. She just walks off, Cristina sees her and calls for her. She goes out side and throws up, she then tells Cristina to not say anything to anybody.

24 HOURS:

Katie’s parents want another Doctor. They say if Dr. Shepard can’t figure out what is wrong then he isn’t the right doctor. How could they not know what is wrong?

Derek tells the Interns they need to work together and find out why Katie is having seizures. Who ever finds out first can scrub into the surgery.

Cristina and Meredith work together. Meredith says she doesn’t want to scrub in and that she’ll let Cristina take all the credit. Cristina wants to know why Meredith doesn’t want to work with Dr. Shepard. She finally tells her it’s because they had sex. Cristina says was it good? Meredith just ignores her and continues working on the case. Meredith thinks she found out why Katie keeps having seizures and tells Cristina to follow her. They find Dr. Shepard in the elevator and they tell them that she fell on her ankle doing her routine in a pageant the doctors didn’t think anything of it but it could be an Aneurysm. Dr. Shepard first doesn’t believe them but says they have to try and see if that is it. They take Katie into x-ray and find that she is bleeding internally. Derek tells Meredith she can scrub in. Cristina gets upset and storms out.

The patient George told the family he would be okay passes away, and Dr. Burk gets upset that he would promise such a thing. Is he God? Now he has to go tell the family that he passed away. The family gets upset and tells George to just leave. The wife breaks down in tears.

Meredith asks Derek if he chose her for surgery because they slept together. He tells her yes, but then tells her of course not, he chose her because that is her patient and she should be there till the end.

The Chief asks Alex a question and he can’t answer it, he asks if anyone knows the answer and Meredith tells the answer perfectly. He says he knows her she is the image of her mother. Welcome to the game.

Meredith speaking:

I can’t think of any one reason why I should become a surgon but I can think of a million why I should quit.

She goes on to say their lives are in their hands.

Meredith takes the chance and becomes a team in the end of the surgery and help out.

I can quit but heres the thing, I love playing the field.

Cristina tells Meredith good surgery.

She tries to apologize in her own way. You should get some sleep you look like crap. It’s not possible and Cristina walks away.

Derek comes out and Meredith says that was amazing. That was such a high and I don’t know why anyone does drugs. Derek says “Yeah” Meredith: “Yeah”
I should go do this says Derek, Meredith says you should. Derek says I’ll see you around.

I made it through my first shift, we all did, the other interns are good people you would like them I do.

She then walks into a nursing home and talks to a women who turns out to be her mother. She tells her about how she is going to keep the place and maybe get roommates. Her mom has Alzheimer’s and doesn’t remember Meredith. Saying I think I used to be a Doctor. Meredith looks at her and says you are mom you are a surgeon.

End….

Learn more about Katherine Heigl (Izzie Stevens)

Filed under: Every Day Thoughts,Grey's Anatomy,Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Tuesday, August 21st, 2007 @ 8:53 am

Link Source: Here.

Katherine Marie Heigl plays Isabel “Izzie” Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy. Her nickname is Katie and she is 5’9″. Katherine Marie Heigl was born in Washington, DC, on November 24, 1978 to Nancy and Paul Heigl. She spent most of her childhood in Canaan, Connecticut. She is half Irish and half German. She has two older siblings John and Meg. A tragic and painful even happened when her brother Jason died in 1986 of brain injuries suffered in a car accident, after being thrown from the back of a pickup truck. Doctors determined he was brain-dead and the family made the difficult decision to donate his organs. This was not only a painful chapter in Katherine’s life but it brought a greater perspective and appreciation to life. It motivated her to use her celebrity to promote the importance of organ donation.

Katherine started her career as a child model. An aunt, visiting the family in New Canaan, took a number of photographs of Katherine, then aged nine, in a series of poses to advertise a hair care product she had invented. Upon returning to New York, with permission from Katherine’s parents, she sent the photos to a number of modeling agencies. Within a few weeks Katherine had been signed to Wilhelmina, a renowned international modeling agency. Almost immediately she made her debut in a magazine advertisement and soon followed this with an inaugural television appearance in a national commercial for Cheerios breakfast cereal.

Following a number of commercials and modeling assignments for Sears and Lord & Taylor, she made her big-screen debut in That Night (1992), which starred Juliette Lewis and C. Thomas Howell. It was then that she realized that acting rather than modeling was her passion. In 1993 Katherine appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s critically acclaimed Depression-era drama King of the Hill (1993), before landing her first leading role as a rebellious teenager alongside GĂ©rard Depardieu in My Father the Hero (1994). During this time Katherine continued to attend New Canaan High School, balancing her academic studies with work on films and modeling, which she undertook during holidays, vacations and weekends.

In 1995, she played Sarah Ryback, the niece of Steven Seagal’s character, in Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995), which was her “debut” in the action film genre. Acting was now becoming a stronger focus for Katherine, although she still modeled extensively, appearing regularly in magazines such as “Seventeen.” Television appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (1992) and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” (1993) soon followed, before she took the lead role in Disney’s Wish Upon a Star (1996) in 1996. It was also during that year that Katherine’s parents divorced and, following her graduation from high school in 1997, she moved with her mother into a four-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Malibu Canyon area. This enabled her to focus upon acting with the guidance and support of her mother, who now managed her career.

In 1999, Katherine decided to branch out into series television when she accepted the role of the haughty yet vulnerable Isabel Evans on “Roswell” (1999), a show that blended teen angst with sci-fi drama. Though she had never planned to embark on a career in television, the role of Isabel, a teenager with a secret life, was an offer she found impossible to refuse. In the series, Isabel, her brother Max (Jason Behr) and their friend Michael (Brendan Fehr) are aliens passing as humans in Roswell, New Mexico, as they desperately try to hide the truth from government agencies, the people of Roswell and even their own adopted families. To publicize her role on the show, Katherine graced the covers of magazines such as “TV Guide,” “Maxim,” and “Teen” and was interviewed on “Later with Greg Kinnear” (1994) and “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn” (1999). Along with her mother Nancy, she also appeared in an episode of the Sci-Fi TV talk show “Crossing Over with John Edward” (1999), during which she spoke with John Edward, a psychic medium, about her late brother, Jason.

During the three years “Roswell” was in production, Katherine found time to work on several movies. 100 Girls (2000), an independent film released in 2001, is the story of a college freshman who meets the girl of his dreams in an elevator during a blackout, and spends the rest of the movie trying to find her again. Her cameo role is that of Arlene, the competitive tomboy. The second film, Valentine (2001), a horror film starring David Boreanaz and Denise Richards, appeared in U.S. theaters on February 2, 2001. In this movie, which is based upon the 1996 novel by Tom Savage, Katherine plays Shelley, a medical student who meets a sudden demise.

In the spring of 2001, Katherine accepted a role in NBC’s Critical Assembly (2003) (TV), a two-hour original television thriller. Katherine and Kerr Smith (“Dawson’s Creek” (1998)) co-starred as brilliant and politically concerned college students who build a nuclear device to illustrate the need for a change in national priorities, but are betrayed by a fellow student when the bomb ends up in the hands of a terrorist. Unfortunately, the telefilm, directed by Eric Laneuville, written by Tom Vaughan, and based on the best-seller “The Seventh Power” by James Mills, was shelved when its storyline was deemed too close for comfort to the events of September 11, 2001. It was eventually broadcast in 2003.

Since the cancellation of “Roswell” in the spring of 2002, Katherine has been busy with various projects, including an appearance on UPN’s update of the classic television series, “The Twilight Zone” (2002). That episode, entitled “Cradle of Darkness”, aired October 2, 2002, and featured Katherine in the role of a woman who goes back in time to stop one of the most notorious murders in history. In addition, she completed a movie, Descendant (2003), a psychological thriller inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Fall of the House of Usher.” She has also starred as Romy in ABC/Touchstone’s two-hour telepic Romy and Michele: In the Beginning (2005) (TV), a prequel to the 1997 feature Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997).

During the summer of 2002, Katherine made a major decision in the direction of her career when she signed on for representation in all areas with the William Morris Agency, one of the biggest and most prestigious agencies in the entertainment industry. She is now being represented by Norman Aladjem at Paradigm Agency and being managed by Nancy Heigl and Stephanie Simon and Jason Newman at Untitled Entertainment.

Katherine dated Joseph Lawrence in 1994. She graduated from New Canaan High School class of 1996. In high school she played the cello. In later years she ranked #72 in Stuff magazine’s “102 Sexiest Women in The World” (2002). Later in 2005 om FHM’s magazine for “100 Sexiest Women in the World 2005″ she ranked #55. In 2006 for the same magazine she ranked #19 and in 2007 – Maxim magazine Hot 100 she ranked #14.

As we all know she was engaged and still is since June to Josh Kelley. She plans to marry him on December 23, 2007 in Utah where she has a ranch property. There will be a tribute to her late brother, Jason, at the ceremony.

Personal Quotes:

[on her role in My Father the Hero (1994)] “There are still men who come up to me today and say, ‘You were really hot in that film!’ I was 14, for God’s sake!”
“One of the most interesting things about that show ["Roswell" (1999)] for me was that because Isabel was an alien, I got to do many things, so that was creatively satisfying. I think anyone’s fear of getting involved in a show that could run for several years is that you’ll be playing only one character for that long; that can get stale for an actor, so on ‘Roswell’ I really lucked out”.

["Razor" Magazine interview] “I’m grateful people think I’m beautiful or think I’m sexy, and I suppose it’s better than the alternative, but I do try to fight it a bit so it’s not all people see me as. And I’d love to one day be in a position where I could choose a role to showcase my creativity versus just my bra size.”
“I love changing my look. I would love, love, love to cut all my hair off into a really short, punky haircut.”

Personal Quotes:

“You just don’t care about what people think. But it’s hard to do because people tell you what they think all the time. It’s sort of nuts. We actors, we’re a fragile bunch, and yet we need to be strong because 90% of our lives is rejection. You have to figure out what really is important.”
