Yes, somtimes I have felt like I've been taken for granted by my kids and husband. OK, I'm fibbing I always feel this way lol.... It's just part of being human. When we interpret what being appreciated is to us and our expectation is not met we feel taken for granted. Of course, when your beautiful daughter who writes so from the heart calls you and at the end of the conversation says I Love You.... or picks up the tab when we go eat Sushi, then you know that she truly does appreciate you. As a parent it feels great not having to pay lol... And I feel blessed to have you as my daughter. I'm so proud of you. I love you too. "Interpretations are just what is."

Vanessa,

I have many times thought and done exactly what you are talking about. Out of sight out of mind, this is a way to get over some things, but in some ways it's bad. Sometimes we have to be the ones to put in that little bit of effort to be closer to the ones we love. Remember we won't always be here...

XO,
Kristin Nicole

It's so true. Unfortunately I'm plagued by "out of sight out of mind", which has become more apparent since moving out of my house. As a result, I've noticed I've become a little less close to my family. But I will never forget how thankful I am for everything they've done for me.
