Anxiety, Insomnia, what more?

Filed under: Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 @ 7:24 am

So again last night I didn’t sleep well. But what’s new. I was reading as to what I could possibly have, that’s not letting me sleep. It’s called Middle Insomnia. I don’t have a problem falling asleep, and I don’t have a problem falling back asleep after waking up in the middle of the night. Actually I do this constantly, THROUGH THE ENTIRE NIGHT. It’s no wonder I wake up with bags under my eyes, anxiety and moody. I’m not sleeping! And the last 2 days it’s actually taking me longer to even fall asleep.

What more can I feel?

School Spring Term

Filed under: Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Monday, January 5th, 2009 @ 3:21 pm

I start school tomorrow and I don’t know why, but I’m stressing out about it. I just feel overwhelmed I guess. Do you ever feel that way? Like you won’t be able to handle something and all you can think of is negative thoughts swarming round in your head non stop all night? Well that’s me! I can’t help it, it’s now my mind works. I know the law of the universe is to think positive, and I’m trying my best I really am.

Today I wanted to start working out, but first I have my Chiropractor appointment at 4:30 because I missed my last appointment and my back as been killing me. So by the time I get home which will probably be at 6:00 I have to see if I have time because my mom wanted to go to my Great Aunts house. She is 97 years old, and she made tamales and she wants to make arroz con gandule for me since she knows I love the way she makes them. I really do love it. Sometimes there just isn’t enough hours in a day!

I’m watching the game right now. Baltimore vs Miami. I am so upset that they have let the game go this far with so many F**k ups! I’m still in hope they can come back, but they have to try harder than ever now to get an interception as well as possibly 2 more touch downs, it’s tough but not impossible. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED!!

I’ll update you later!

GO DOLPHINS!

XO,
Kristin Nicole

Update: With less than 4 minutes to go in the game, WE LOST! Baltimore made another touch down =(

Happy New Year 2009!

How was your New Year?

We went to my brothers house this year for New Years. My sister in law made this pork loin that was so delicious. We had ham, rice and beans, yuca, and everything was delicious!!!! yummmmm!!! =) We had a really good time, I have to say one of the best new years I have had with my family and boyfriend. It was really nice! Yesterday we spent our time recovering haha.

This year is a new leaf, I’m starting school Tuesday again, and I’m a little scared. I guess just scared into getting back into the studying, and the time it takes from your day. I’m not a person to study must, so it’s a little harder for me. My goals are to also start exercising more this year as well. My goal is to work out 3-5 times a week, I bought 2 new Yoga dvds to see if it also helps my sleeping habits. I tend to wake up in the middle of the night toss and turn for 2 minutes and fall back asleep, but I do this about 4-6 times a night, so by the time the alarm goes off I feel like I haven’t slept at all.

We are planning on going to Vegas in July so I want to be nice and fit, and Yoga is also supposed to help my leg problem, thats another story to tell.

Well Happy New Year!!

Teen Killed In Police Involved Shooting

Filed under: Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Monday, December 22nd, 2008 @ 9:46 am

The Irony in this story is astonishing to me. Read this Link HERE

This 18 year old boy was threatening to commit suicide. His family called the Police and when they got there he had a knife in his hands and they said he was very agitated. They tried bringing him down with the taser but that didn’t work, so when Jordan Christian (the 18 year old boy) went towards the police again they had no choice but to take action and fire. Jordan Christian was pronounced dead at Broward General Medical Center. The Police officer who shot Jordan is under 72 hour administration until further investigation.

I just find it ironic. Was it his time to truly go? The family called the Police to help him, because he wanted to kill himself and the police ended up doing just that. I find that to be very Ironic. I find that to be meant to be. It’s sad to say, but I truly believe when it’s your time to go, it’s your time.

Man gets education and he’s blind…

Filed under: Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Wednesday, December 17th, 2008 @ 7:27 am

You have to read this story HERE

It’s incredible how this 45 year old man just woke up blind one day and went through the struggles of finishing his education. He’s even going to continue to get his PH.D.

What would you do if you just woke up blind one day?

I have thought about this since reading this article and I don’t know what I would do. I would probably go into depression. How do you just move on with your life when for 42 years of your life you have seen it all, and now you have to learn a whole new way of living. It’s amazing to me what this man has accomplished.

I think Gustavo Vinocur is an amazing human being. Not many people can say they can do what he did, or did what he did. To live life and continue, to make the best out of your day with the challenges you need to face in life. If his man can do something that many may think to believe the unbelievable, what does this story tell you now?

May we all learn from a man who once can see the world to a man who learned how to live in this world.

Adam Walsh case to be declared solved today

Filed under: Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 @ 10:12 am

This case is 27 years old, and they finally think they have solved the case in the murder of 7 year old Adam Walsh. All along it was a man by the name of Ottis Toole. Adam Walsh’s father always suspected and believed that it was Toole who murdered his boy. They had him as a suspect for a while but dismissed the charges with the evidence contained. Now 27 years later they are stating in fact it was Ottis Toole who murdered Adam Walsh. Ottis Toole is already dead, he died in Jail in 1996. Most of the murders Toole had confessed to he later retracted. Ottis Toole was always at the top of the list though, and finally maybe his family can rest a little better even though the man is already dead.

I couldn’t imagine someone doing something like this. They said they found Adam’s head but never his body. Just the thought disgusts me. What goes through the mind of a serial killer, to think this is okay, that this is normal. The excitement that goes through their veins with every kill. A thought you and me will never know of.

We has a community just have to pray that people like Ottis Toole get caught and put away for the rest of their lives.

R.J. Gator’s Restaurant Chains CLOSED and More?

Filed under: Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Friday, December 12th, 2008 @ 7:37 am

I don’t know if you have ever been to R.J. Gator’s, I’m not a huge fan who goes there, but I did go there once or twice with my cousin. I know my cousin liked this place a lot and it was close to her house. Well I just found out they had to go bankrupt. Thats not the worst part, not only did they keep this from their employees until literally last night, the employees are now left with out a job and they don’t know if they will get their last paycheck.

I just don’t understand how this is even allowed. And the way the economy is now we just have to hope these people find other jobs soon. I truly can’t believe all the restaurants that are closing due to the economy it’s shocking to tell you the truth.

My co-workers and I were walking back from lunch yesterday and saw that Beverly Hills Cafe is also closed due to the economy. They supposedly have some other branches open but we were shocked that this specific branch was closed. They always looked fairly busy for lunch in this area. As a matter a fact not that long ago we had even noticed how packed they were for lunch. I wonder if they did the same thing to there employees as they did to R.J. Gator’s employees?!

If you want to read more about R.J. Gator’s click on the Link HERE

We have to do something to help this economy but what??

Friends beat teen for refusing to rob home in Florida

Filed under: Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Thursday, December 11th, 2008 @ 8:55 am

First off, what is this world coming to? Seriously??

Look at this story Friends Beat teen for refusing to rob home in Florida.

Some “friends” of this teenage boy took him to a vacant home and made him strip and beat him up because he wouldn’t help rob a house in Florida. ARE YOU SERIOUS?

These were supposed to be his friends. Supposedly the 4 boys were all close friends. I just don’t understand though, that if these boys were supposed to be his friend, why they would do such a thing. They say the boy got away and had to run to someones house to call the police. They didn’t release the names of the boys since they are juveniles. The three boys are being charged for beating.

Again, what is this world coming to? When I read these stories it makes me sad to think that I have to bring a child into this world one day. A world that doesn’t know the kind of harm they are only causing themselves.

Kristin Nicole
