Callie tells Izzie in front of the interns to meet her in the cafeteria at noon.

Word quickly spreads through out the hospital that Callie is going to fight Izzie in the cafeteria . Alex asks Izzie what she did to piss Callie off. Izzie tells Alex he has to swear not to tell anyone what she is about to tell him. She finally tells him it’s because she slept with George. Alex goes off on her, asking how she can sleep with O’malley and walks out on her.

A woman comes in for a foot injury, her foot is swollen and she tells them she slipped off her treadmill. She explains that she was trying to loose weight for her fiance, so they can move in together. The women keeps asking when she’ll be able to go because she has to meet her trainer. Baily tells her she won’t be leaving any time soon, her injuries are very bad. She tries to get Callie involved but Callie’s mind is else where. Callie finally tells them that she needs to stop starving herself that is why her bones are so weak and that is why her ankle gave out. The fiance and the girl continue to argue that she is not going to stop dieting, Callie stays quiet and walks away. Bailey knows there is something wrong with Callie.

Derek asks Meredith to go away with him for 48 hours and she agrees if it’s only for sex. Meredith starts to get second thoughts about going away with Derek when she sees him getting friendly with Lexie. Christina doesn’t like Lexie and calls her intern number, “Three” Lexie tells her my name is Lexie but Christina just ignores her. She tells her to stay away from the patients and to stay by the wall. During a procedure where Derek is placing weights on an injured teenage boy to stabilize him, Lexie touches his hand to comfort him. Christina tells her to get out, that this is very critical and the slightest touch can permanently paralyze him.Derek then snaps at Cristina for being “selfish” and says she won’t be welcome in his surgeries anymore unless she starts actually teaching her interns. On her next surgery, Derek tells Lexie to help but she freezes and he looks at Christina, she then helps talk Lexie through a difficult procedure. Lexie later thanks her and Christina still calls her “Three,” but now Lexie doesn’t object.

Meredith asks Alex to swap shifts with her so she can go away with Derek. He agrees, but only if she takes the oldest intern, Norman, for the day. Meredith hands Norman the job of informing a woman she’s dying. She tells him that he can’t get emotional but when she goes into the room she finds the women crying out of control. Norman admits he might have done it wrong, and he asks what to do now. She tells him to apologize again and when he does the women starts crying louder. He asks again what to do and Meredith says to walk away slowly. Mark tells Meredith that she really messed up and he’s going to have to report them. Norman later brings the women back and she tells them how she quite her job, and broke up with her boyfriend and she is getting rid of her house and moving to Iceland, they then tell her she isn’t dying and she breaks down crying about all the things she did. Mark later tells her she is lucky the women didn’t sue, but the hospital is buying her a four bedroom house in Iceland.

Richards niece comes into the hospital unable to breath. She has cancerous masses blocking her throat. She tells them that she just wants to die, she wants to hang out with her friends and sleep in her own bed. Adele tells her she doesn’t have a choice but she says she does because she is 18 now. Richard later talks to her alone and tells her as her Doctor he can tell her all the different treatments she can have and as her Uncle he wants her to do the treatments because he doesn’t know what to do with out her, but as her doctor he’ll do what she wants. She says she wants to go home, and he says ok. Adele tells him that once again he has failed her and walks out.

Izzie prepares herself for the fight with Callie taking her earings and shoes off and everything. When Callie walks in she looks around and asks what is going on. Izzie says she is ready to fight and Callie tells her she just wanted to talk and walks away. George comes rushing in when he finds out they are going to fight and asks Alex what happened. He says I guess it was over “Nothing”.

The woman with the ankle injury starts spitting up blood and they rush her into surgery: She has a bleeding ulcer from constantly popping ibuprofen. Because she was underweight and malnourished, her heart can’t take it and she dies on the operating table. Callie finds the boyfriend outside and tells him that he’s to blame for her death and that he couldn’t have really loved her. Miranda and George stop her from actually hitting the man. George realizes she’s talking about their marriage and Miranda tells Callie that the “nothing” going on with her has almost cost her her career.

Izzie and Callie and tries to apologize. Callie tells her it’s bad enough that she humiliated her by sleeping with George, now she’s humiliated her at work too. When Izzie tries to say that she “feels terrible,” Callie replies, “Don’t you dare come to me for forgiveness, you traitorous bitch.”

George tells Callie that she can’t forgive him for what he did and she finally admits that she hasn’t forgiven him at all. She goes home to the hotel alone.

Alex tells Izzie that it’s her fault for falling for a married man, but she reminds him about Ava/Jane Doe and how she was married too. He finally admits that he is upset because she told him that after Denny she wasn’t ready to move on and then she slept with O’Malley and then she tells him like he’s one of her chick friends. He walks away. Later at home Izzie is crying and she gets a knock on her door, Alex brings in a tissue box and tells her to keep it down.

Meredith tells Derek she is ready but he changes his mind. He doesn’t want just 48 hours with her, he wants to marry her, he wants to spend his life with her and grow up to 109 years old but every time he tells her things like that she pushes him away. She says she will get there one day. He tells her he will wait but if someone comes along that wants what he wants he can’t guarantee he’ll be there.

Let the Truth Sting – Episode 3

Derek goes to Mark and complains to him about Meridith keeping them a secret from Christina. Mark is surprised that Derek didn’t break up with her like he had said he would. He tells Derek that he’s fookish for hoping they’ll officially get back together that Meridith isn’t just going to grow up and want to be in a relationship. Derek says he isn’t expecting that.

A patient comes in by the name of Cathy, she is told that the cancer she is has spread and that she may lose up to 60 percent of her tounge due to cancer. She’s devastated to hear that the reconstructive surgery planned will leave her nearly unable to talk. Richard (The Chief) decides to try an innovative new surgery that would reactivate the nerve in her tongue. Mark is convinced they can handle this, although George worries that neither of them have ever done this. George makes a comment under his breath about them being a little old and not knowing too much about the new surgeries. They both look at George and tell them how they are not old and they are going to do this surgery. (This part is really funny, with the facial expressions they make towards George.)

Izzie anxiously waits for George to see if he’s told Callie, when she bumps into him he explains that he wasn’t able to tell her last night. She pulls him into a room where the semi-comatose “Really Old Guy” is, to ask him why not, but they’re interrupted by her interns. She tells her interns to get out and all of a sudden the “Really Old Guy” wakes up.

Everyone is in shock because the “The Really Old Guy” has been in a coma for a year, he wakes up and objects to being referred to as “Really Old Guy”. He tells Izzie that his name is Charlie and that he’s only woken up because he’s plans to die today. Christina and Meridith come to see Charlie and he tells them that he knows who they are. He goes on to tell Meridith about how she is with that Doctor. While Izzie examines him, he reveals that he knows everything about all the residents, after the year they spent lunching and gossiping in his room. He insists that George isn’t going to leave his wife for Izzie because men never do. She is naive if she thinks he will. He also tells Izzie to bring him Lobster it’s his last wish before he dies, Izzie tells him he’s not going to die and she’s not going to get him lobster, Izzie then freaks out and goes to see George to insist that he tell Callie tonight. He tells her he’s busy, and she starts to worry that maybe Charlie is right. Maybe he isn’t going to leave Callie. George tells Izzie that she can’t get upset, they are not in this together. Before she says anything he says because he has to tell his Wife that he married her for the wrong reasons.

Charlie starts pulling his tubes and wires out to help make the process of his death a little faster and Izzie is so annoyed with him, she helps him, she tells him oh look your still breathing, then she pulls a plug and says oh no that didn’t work, oh wait that was because it’s part of the lamp, the intern interrupts her and points out that he’s stopped breathing. They manage to bring him back, when Charlie wakes up he tells Izzie to stop saving his life. Izzie later goes to see Charlie and they tell her he is leaving the hospital today. She tells them he can’t she just brought him lobster. Izzie tells Charlie he’s probably right about George and then she realizes that Charlie has died, just like he said he would. She calls the residents and George to say some nice things about him in tribute. Izzie declares that he was a bastard, but one who knew what he wanted. And that gives her hope that you can get what you want, eventually.

Alex is given middle-aged intern named Norman and wants to dump him on the clinic. Miranda insists that she first needs a favor from him: He has to treat a teenage boy whose mother has brought him in because she suspects he’s on drugs. Alex tries to explain that his altered behavior can have a variety of causes, but Norman sides with the mother, praising her intuition and insists on the drug test. The drug test comes back negative and it looks like the boy is just going through normal teenage moodiness, until he starts spouting gibberish. Alex orders a neural exam. The boy has hydrocephalis, which is impacting his speech.

During the tongue surgery, Mark isn’t sure what to do next and says he’s never done this before. They realize they need an extra set of hands and send George to fetch Derek. The teenage boy collapses and Alex runs to get Derek, who’s busy with the tongue surgery. He tells Alex what to do: He needs to stick a needle behind the patient’s eye into his brain, which saves his life.

Meredith has to supervise Lexie and when the paramedics bring in a man who’s not breathing, Meredith has Lexie perform her first intubation on him. The man dies and Lexie is horrified that Meredith didn’t do more for him. Meredith explains that the man was already dead when he came in and that her responsibility is to teach Lexie. Since Lexie seems unwilling to learn from Meredith, she orders her to go to the clinic. Miranda is upset that the clinic is being treated as a dumping ground and orders her to go back, but Lexie begs her to stay since Meredith obviously hates her.Miranda tells Meredith that Lexie thinks she hates her and her mother, Susan — who died under Meredith’s care. Miranda insists that Meredith’s job is to help Lexie be a better doctor. Meredith tells Lexie that she was very fond of Susan and then explains every detail of what went wrong on the day she died.

Richard frets that he’s left Adele waiting because of the surgery. Derek advises him to tell her the truth about how much he’s missed her.

Christina the whole time has being faking being sad so she can get surgeries from Meridith, she is upset that Meridith hasn’t told her about her and Derek. Thinking she is weak and can’t handle it. Later Meredith overhears Cristina boasting about the cool tongue surgery and realizes she’s been faking her sadness. She confronts her and Cristina says she’s dealing. And that she doesn’t need to be “protected” from the news that Meredith’s back with Derek.

While in the elevator he new batch of interns, who have no idea that George is repeating his internship, consider him “the best intern ever,” until Alex points out that George is a repeater and that if they really want to learn from someone, they should learn from a resident. George says yes don’t learn from me. Norman looks at him shocked and Alex says what are you looking at. Then turns to Lexie and says Interns…But Lexie looks at him with disgust.

Miranda updates Callie, who’s been doing paperwork all day, on all the residents’ dumping of interns, but Callie couldn’t care less. Callie says she knows Miranda better at her job but she doesn’t want to fight her, or anyone, so she’s just going to do paperwork. Miranda admits she’s having trouble with being #2 when she used to be #1, but she’s going to help Callie since she obviously needs it. Callie accepts, with relief.

That night, George walks into the house. Callie looks at George and says “Just say it”, George looks at her and tells her he slept with Izzie.

George comes to Izzie to tell her how much he loves her. He knows he made a mistake marrying Callie, and admits to just jumping in the moment because of his Dad’s situation. He leaves determined to tell Callie. Unfortunately that night Callie never went home, and the next day George finds her to tell her that they need to talk. Callie feels that George may be cheating on her and doesn’t want to have that talk with him. But agrees to talk to him later. Izzie soon shows up to tell George to please not tell Callie about them. He says he has to, but she says he can’t because Callie is her boss and if she finds out it will be a nightmare. Maybe they can wait a week or so to see if her mood will change or maybe they’ll just ”drift apart”. George finally just agrees to wait.

Derek spends the night with Meredith, which is okay if it’s just sex, but not if it’s a “sleepover.” He invites her to lunch but he turns him down for lunch, insisting they agreed only to “sex and mockery,” and asks him to meet her after work for more of the same.

Cristina doesn’t want to return her wedding presents so instead she is handing them out in exchange for professional favors at the hospital, like scrubbing in on a high-profile surgery with Mark. Mama Burke arrives unexpectedly, looking for her and Cristina sends Meredith to get her to leave. Mama reprimands Meredith for the way she announced that the marriage was off, She tells Meredith either she was just being rude or she was being selfish having that moment to break up with her boyfriend. So which one is it? Meredith apologizes being speechless and finally walks off to tell Cristina she tried but Mama’s too scary.

Miranda (Dr. Bailey) asks Callie to take some residents to the clinic to help out but Callie because the hospital is busy, so Miranda gets stuck with two interns, including Lexie. She doesn’t have the authority to give Meredith orders anymore, but Bailey tells Meredith that she can do her this favor, you know like she did for her that time she saved her life. Meredith walks into the clinic to find Lexie there and soon egrets helping out. Lexie immediately pounces on her for more sisterly bonding and Meredith just keeps trying to avoid her and tells her that she is an only child she doesn’t have a sister. She says did you have a dad in your life? Lexie says yes! She says I didn’t so we don’t have the same dad and we aren’t sisters. You aren’t making it easy to not know you exist. Callie later finds out that Bailey undermined her over the clinic assignment and is very upset with Bailey.

Victims come in from an explosion flood, An older man, a man in his 20s a mother and father with there baby. The baby won’t stop crying and the father doesn’t know what to do. Alex orders a tox scan of the baby’s blood because he is suspicious that it might have to do with crystal meth. They find out that the parents were cooking the drug in their kitchen when it exploded. Callie has Alex call the police and social services. Before they arrive Alex gets upset with the father and tells him why his son can’t stop crying. He tells him the police will be here any minute to pick you up the guy rushes up and knocks Alex out and takes the baby and runs.

Richard is trying to delegate work to make more time to be with his wife, but soon just ends up having to do more work. He regrets delegating the meth lab situation to Callie. He even goes as far as interrupting a surgery to tell her how badly she’s messed up. When Izzie tells her she thinks she’s doing a good job as chief resident , Callie looks suspicious and orders out of the O.R.

While Mama waits to see Cristina, George sees her sitting there and tells her that he was Burks Guy. He tells her to tell him that he dodged a bullet by not getting married, because once you’re in, you’re in. She asks if he is married, and he says he is. Shet tells him he shouldn’t stay in a marriage out of obligation. Derek then sees Mama and stops in to say hello. She tells him that he and Burk are a line, honorable men, and he wouldn’t just wait around for someone or settle. Derek tells her they are both very different men, Burk is stronger then he is. She tell shim that she knows he is an honorable man and to walk away from less than he deserves.

Callie desperately searches for the baby and bumps into Mark he asks if she’s okay, and she confides that she thinks that George is having an affair. He says if it’s true, George is an idiot. He advises her to talk to George, instead of destroying her career.

Derek overhears the meth-dealing father, who’s hiding in a bathroom, begging his baby to wake up. Derek tells him to let him take the baby or the baby may die, he gives Derek the baby and he runs off to save him. The baby had a stroke. Mean while Alex is telling Bailey to yell at him, she starts telling him that isn’t her job, but goes into what an idiot he is for not waiting for the police to show up first. He thanks her for her lecture and she thanks him for letting her give it.

Cristina finally goes to find out what Mama wants. She asks for the key to the apartment to get some of Burke’s things. And she says she’s sorry, not just that Cristina lost the man she loves, but that she lost her teacher, since Cristina loves being a surgeon more than she loved her son. She says she admires Cristina and that if she’d been born at a different time, she might have been more like her. As she’s preparing to leave, Cristina asks if she’ll take the wedding gifts. Cristina asks, “He’s never coming back, is he? Not even to say goodbye,” and Mama reminds her, “You’re a strong woman.”

Callie offers to help the Chief fill out the paperwork on the kidnapped baby, but he tells she’s already done enough for one day. George finds her and is about to tell her about him and Izzie, but she tearfully begs him, “Not tonight.” He says okay and they walk off together.

Derek asks Mark to meet Meredith in his place and tell her he’s stuck with a patient, Mark tells Meridith and asks her to have a drink with him, but she turns him down and says she is going home. As Meredith begins to walk out Derek stops her and decides to join her after all. They walk out together smiling.

A change is going to come – Season 4 Episode 1

Filed under: Every Day Thoughts,Grey's Anatomy,Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Friday, September 28th, 2007 @ 9:05 am

Grey’s Anatomy opens up very similar to the way it opened up the first season. Everyone except for George. They all get new interns and Christina gets Meredith’s half sister Lexie. Lexie tries to meet Meredith not knowing who she is.

Izzie bumps into George and asks him why he’s been ignoring her, she told him she loved him and it’s been 17 days with out a word from him. He just tells her how he’s been busy and has things on his mind. He didn’t pass the interns exam remember?! He then walks away. Izzie’s interns all whisper behind her back, but she can here them bickering on about how they got the dud doctor, did you hear that last year she lost a patient and then got suspended?!

Derek goes around trying to find a friend to hang out with. He asks Bailey if she wants to go for a drink after work, and she tells him no, just because Addison left, and Burk left, and he’s not friends with Mark so just because he doesn’t have friends doesn’t mean they can hang out now. Derek says I have friends, and looks around to find the Chief, he says I have the Chief and walks away. He goes to the Chief and asks if he wants to have a drink after work, he says he can’t because he’s busy. He tells Derek how his wife hasn’t let him move back in, but they are trying to work things out. Mark walks up and says I’ll have a drink with you. The Chief thinks it’s a good idea, but Derek says no one said anything about a drink and walks away.

Victim’s from an accident come in and they all go rushing outside with their interns. Lexie starts to ask George who is Meredith? He asks why, and she says because I’m Lexie Grey, he says I know who you are. Before anything else is said, they tell Meredith to grab that victim. For the first time Lexie sees who her half sister is. Meredith gets a victim who is pregnant and has just lost her arm. She goes to rush inside and Lexie stops her to tell her that she is her half sister Lexie. Meredith just looks at her and keeps going.

Christina and Meredith talk about how they haven’t seen Derek or Burk. But they are just fine.

Alex is in the surgery with Dr. Bailey when Callie comes in looking for him. She gets upset that why wasn’t she paged if this is her patient. Before Alex is able to say anything, Dr. Bailey interrupts and says because this patient needed emergency surgery and he did what he had to do to save his life. Callie stays quiet and tells Alex that she wants all the paper work on her desk later and walks out.

Callie is having a hard time becoming Chief Resident. No one wants to listen to her especially Dr. Bailey who is still upset she wasn’t chosen for Chief Resident. The Chief tries to talk to Bailey but she keeps pushing him away and telling him she has nothing to talk to him about. Eventually the Chief gets into the surgery room with Bailey and tells her he didn’t choose her because she belongs in the surgery room, not behind a desk telling people what to do. She’ll thank him one day.

Meredith and Derek finally run into each other, He asks how she is doing and she says fine. He says isn’t she always? She asks if he’s seen a missing arm of her patient and he tells her no. Lexie walks up at this point and Derek looks at her and says you are the girl from the bar? Meredith turns to him and says’ “I’m the girl from the bar” and walks away. Lexie tells Derek that she is Meredith’s half sister and Meredith hates her already. Derek looks shocked, and Lexie just tells him that she came looking for him, he’s needed in the emergency room. Christina’s patient is unable to move, the only thing holding his head is skin and muscle tissue. They need to operate as soon as possible. They bring his family in and it’s a tear filling moment as the Wife tells him to pull through, in the back stand his two children. He blinks one time for No and two times for Yes but this time he blinked three times. They wonder what it means and the wife says does that mean I LOVE YOU? He blinks two times for Yes. She starts to cry as the children are crying in the back as well. Right before they take him into surgery the daughter comes up to him real quick and does three blinks. And they take him off to surgery.

Derek sees Cristina and asks if she wants to go for a drink after work. She says no I don’t like you. He says why because of Meredith? She no because I just don’t like you. Derek asks how Meredith is doing and she says fine. He says yes that’s the problem she is always fine. Cristina tells him that they are just women who are always fine. She then asks him where Burk is, does he have the day off? Derek is forced to tell her the truth. He tells her that Burk gave in his resignation two weeks ago. Is she okay? She says she is fine. He says of course you are, and walks away.

Meredith is in surgery with Mark and George and the patient begins to go into Labor. George rushes in and delivers the baby. Lexie goes to congratulate him and asks him why he isn’t happy. He says because this isn’t his first surgery it’s like dajavu, this is his second year as an intern.

Derek bumps into Mark again and Mark tells him that he wants to go get a drink with him. Derek says why because Addison isn’t here anymore? He says no, he didn’t come here for Addison or for this position he came here for him. He then realizes what he said didn’t sound right, and starts to laugh, he says I can’t take that back now huh? Derek tells him no. He says so how about that drink. Derek smiles and says maybe another time and walks away.

Meredith is getting ready to leave when Lexie calls out her name, at the same time Derek calls her name and she stands there in the middle looking to which way to go, with out saying anything she turns to Derek and walks away.

George walks into the locker room and everyone is staring, he snaps and asks what is it? And they all start clapping, asking how does he feel about delivering his first baby on his “First” day as an intern. Lexie says yes how does it feel on your first day as an intern. George catches on and says it felt really good.

Alex and Cristina are sitting and Alex tells her he misses Ava, she tells him she misses Burk.

Meredith and Derek are talking, he says so we are really over aren’t we, she says yes ”OVER”. He goes in to kiss her but she pulls away a little until they finally begin kissing. She says “break up kiss” He says yes “break up kiss” they start undressing and they say “Break up sex”….Yes….

Izzie goes to her door to find George and he finally tells her He Loves her.

Katherine Heigl won Best Supporting Actress in a Drama. She looked great in her white dress as she looked great. As she got on stage at the Shrine Auditorium in LA on Sunday, she was speechless. Not being prepared, she said her own mom didn’t think she stood a chance.

Katherine said she was lost for words and admitted even her mum didn’t think she’d triumph.

‘My own mother said I didn’t have a shot in hell of winning tonight,’ she said on stage, ‘so I don’t have anything prepared.’

I honestly can’t believe her mom said that. What a way to bring someone down. Good for her! I’m happy for Katherine and I CONGRATULATE HER ON HER SUCCESS!

* 08/11 – We have some inside scoop on the new Grey’s Anatomy interns who will be descending on Seattle Grace this season. Of course, we all know about Lexie played by Chyler Leigh (who will be a regular cast member this season). But what about the other newbie interns? Claire will be played by Tymberlee Chanel who is a relatively unknown newcomer to television save for two guest roles. The first was on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation this year and Numb3rs. Graciella is played by Gloria Garayua. She has had some guest starring roles in Cold Case, the ill-received 3 Lbs., Strong Medicine, Joey, Six Feet Under and others. Leo has had plenty of guest starring television roles as well, such as Dexter, That ’70s Show, The X-Files and Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. But also a relative newcomer to the scene. As you may have noticed, these aren’t the interns who were in the last episode of the last season! Those interns were played by Ajay Vidure, Candice Afia, Artie O’Daly and Joseph Williamson. No word if they will be showing up this season as well or not. We have also been told that one of the interns is going to try and pull a Cristina/Meredith and hook up with one of the McDoctors. The intern/McDoctor hook up will more than likely be with Mark since he is said to be getting more action this season.]

* 08/01 – I’m hearing Rhimes may stick a fork in Izzie in the season premiere when the ex-platonic pals are forced to examine their relationship while tending to an, um, unusual patient: a deer. That’s right, an injured deer will be admitted to Seattle Grace. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide [Note: It seems that they changed the raccoon storyline to a deer one.]

* 07/06 – Expect changes to occur in the season premiere as the title is “A Change Is Gonna Come.” The premiere will see new interns enter the medical world. One, who is supposed to be named Thomson, helps deliver a baby on the interns’ first day on the job. Grey’s Anatomy episodes would not be the same without a wacky case. In this episode, the wacky case is that of a young boy bringing his bleeding female raccoon pet to the hospital in the hope a doctor will save her. Source: TV Squad

* 07/02 – Clara, who is with her two young children, discuss the status of her husband Henry with one of the doctors. Henry has suffered extremely traumatic injuries during a car accident. The doctor says that the only thing holding Henry’s head to his body is skin and muscle and that he will surely died very soon, even with surgery. A boy brings a near-dead raccoon to Seattle Grace in the hope they will be able to save it. His father wants his son to grow up and stop living in a make-believe world. Some of the doctors need to deal with new stressed out interns. One of the interns will help deliver a baby. Source: SpoilerFix.com

* 08/29 – Since Burke’s never coming back, Shonda Rhimes went and got the next best thing: his mama! Diahann Carroll’s returning in this season’s second episode when she shows up at Seattle Grace to get that choker back from Cristina. Needless to say, her return is shocking – and potentially clarifying – for Yang. It’s also funny as hell. In fact, I hear the entire episode is high- sterical. There’s also apparently some great stuff with Chandra Wilson as Bailey struggles with no longer being the boss lady. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

* 07/24 – A woman, Marla, wakes up in the hospital not knowing how and why she got there. It turns out that Marla fell asleep with a cigarette in her hand, starting a fire in her living room. Marla sustained injuries to her abdomen. Her husband is okay but her son suffered extensive burns. There are also other patients in the hospital who were affected by the fire Marla set. One patient warns a female doctor to start to date in order to not end up alone at 70 like he is. Another burn patient panics while at the hospital and admits that the life he is now living is not what he wanted. Source: SpoilerFix.com

General Spoilers:

* 08/29 – [Edward Herrmann is] playing the world’s oldest intern. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

* 08/17 – A new season of Grey’s Anatomy and some fresh new spoilers! Many of these will be in the season premiere September 27th, but some will obviously carry over for a few episodes, and some are rather obvious from how we saw the plot going in the season finale. George decides to repeat his internship, meaning he’ll be with all the new interns including Lexie, Meredith’s half sister. No word on which new resident will have either George or Lexie, but we know it won’t be Izzie. The rest of the former interns are now residents, and are having issues with having to report to Callie. Meredith joins Cristina on her honeymoon before they both return to Seattle Grace two weeks after Burke walked out on Cristina. And yes, Burke has resigned. And Meredith uses the time away to consider her own relationship with Derek. Bailey is still pretty upset with Richard for choosing Callie for Chief Resident and is struggling to find her place on the hierarchy of the hospital. Richard takes Derek’s advice and decides to return to his position as Seattle Grace’s Chief. And he and Adele get back together. After Addison leaves, Mark tries to befriend Derek again. and it sounds as though his relationship with Meredith will also play a role in this. One of the interns from last season’s season finale has also snagged a spot as a recurring character on Grey’s Anatomy. Candice Afia will be returning to Grey’s Anatomy. Joseph Williamson (who played the hot intern in the season finale) will be returning as well. Of the remaining two interns we saw last season, neither are returning as this season’s interns. Source: SpoilerBuzz

* 08/15 – As per Ausiello’s Vodcast on TV Guide.com, Callie will learn the truth about Gizzie during one of the following: 1) The first scene of the premiere, 2) November Sweeps, 3) Episode Three entitled “Let The Truth Sting.” Source: SpoilerTV

* 08/08 – I hear Lexie and Derek are not happening – at least not initially. Word around Seattle Grace is that Lexie is being paired with Alex. That should certainly make things interesting when Jane Doe/Ava/Rebecca reappears. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

* 07/27 – Edward Herrmann is scrubbing in for a guest role on ABC’s hit drama Grey’s Anatomy. Details on his role are being kept under wraps, but it is understood that he will play a doctor in at least three episodes. Source: The Hollywood Reporter [Note: Could he be playing the doctor in his 50s described in our 4.02 spoilers?]

* 07/12 – Entering their first year as residents, Meredith Grey, Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens and Alex Karev now have interns of their own to mentor. Among the new interns are George, forced to repeat his internship after failing his exams, and Lexie Grey, Meredith’s half-sister. Actress Chyler Leigh joins the cast as Lexie Grey. “Grey’s Anatomy” stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Katherine Heigl as Isobel “Izzie” Stevens, T.R. Knight as George O’Malley, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Sara Ramirez as Callie Torres, Eric Dane as Mark Sloan and Chyler Leigh as Lexie Grey. * 07/02 – I’m hearing [that George and Callie's relationship] is proving quite a difficult puzzle for Shonda Rhimes, who is fully aware of the fan backlash over last season’s George and Izzie hookup and has been doing quite a few rewrites. Source: Kristin on E!Online

* 06/12 – Executives tied to the show say the fourth-season plan is to add several cast members, including at least one fresh-faced new intern: Meredith Grey’s half-sister Lexi (Chyler Leigh) will become a frequent presence with a multi-episode story arc. They are also seeking a new recurring male character to compete with Patrick Dempsey’s Dr. McDreamy. Source: AOL

* 06/08 – Multiple sources are telling me that Isaiah Washington will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy next season. An ABC Studios spokesperson confirms that the actor’s contract option has not been picked up, but declined further comment. [...] Washington’s rep, Howard Bragman, confirmed the news, adding that his client was informed by Grey’s executive producer Shonda Rhimes earlier today that he was not being invited back to the show. [...] Plot-wise, it won’t be difficult to explain Washington’s absence. In last month’s season finale, Burke left Cristina at the altar and moved out of their apartment. Source: The Ausiello Report

* 05/09 – Sources close to Grey’s Anatomy tell me that Chyler Leigh has been offered a multiple-episode arc for next season. Source: Kristin on E!Online [Note: Ausiello says that Chyler Leigh was offered a 13-episode arc.]

* 02/10 – I know that casting agents have been in Toronto recently, looking to cast a girl between the ages of 10 and 12 for an arc next season. Now, as much as a great show like Grey’s might plan ahead, this seems to be way ahead, if you ask me. So, my first thought is that this girl is Izzie’s bio-daughter. Source: Kristin on E!Online [Note: We have seen Izzie's daughter this season. Does this spoiler mean that she'll be back next season? Or is the 10-to-12-year-old girl not Izzie's daughter?]

Filed under: Every Day Thoughts,Grey's Anatomy,Kristin Nicole's Thoughts — Wrote by Kristin on Tuesday, September 4th, 2007 @ 9:15 am

It has come to my understanding that I had the wrong Keith that is going to be playing on Grey’s anatomy. Thank you for letting me know. I didn’t think that was him, but that’s all I could find at the time.

The correct Richard Keith is much younger and you can find him by clicking HERE.

Richard was born November 29, 1982 in Charlotte, North Carolina his full name is Richard Pragacz Keith.

Sorry for the mistake, but thank you so much to those who helped me out with the correct information.
